My name is Andrew Williams. I have been involved in the independent gaming community for many years now, both as a games reviewer for www.bytten.com and on a consultancy basis for Cornutopia Software.
Having reviewed independent games since 2003, I could not help but notice the number of games produced by developers for whom English is obviously not their first language. As a native speaker to a very high standard I understand all too well the difficulty that English poses!
Poor English can have a detrimental effect on a developer's sales. In January 2006 I started Indieproofing to provide a proofreading service for such developers. While most proofreading companies charge a small fortune for their services and are not familiar with the needs of game developers, www.indieproofing.co.uk is geared towards supporting the indie community and offers a range of services for game text, websites and manuals. We also cater for "normal" proofreading, such as marketing text or other documentation.

My own webpage construction skills are somewhat limited, so my thanks go to Payal Dhar (via Open Source Web Design) for his "A Bigger Idea..." template. Thanks also go to Mark Sheeky for the "Game Over" logo.
